Hillary Gaynor Earns EcoBroker, LEED AP, and GREEN REALTOR Designations.
April 28th, 2009by Bean Group
Hillary Gaynor is becoming known in the real estate community as “a GREEN Bean.” In August 2008 Hillary earned her designation as an EcoBroker, the premiere green designation for real estate professionals.
Hillary continued to seek out more training and education and traveled to the National Association of REALTORS® conference in Orlando, FL in November 2008 to obtain the new GREEN designation through NAR. Hillary is the first REALTOR® in NH and ME to obtain this designation.
Hillary also wanted to be able to understand the process for building LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental design) certified homes and neighborhoods. LEED is a rating system for green building through the U.S. Green Building Council, based on how well a green building reduces its energy use and environmental impact. In January of 09 Hillary passed her LEED exam and became a LEED AP. There is only one other REALTOR® north of Boston to have this designation and skill. Hillary is now able to be part of the design phase for a green home and add to the overall rating of the home by being a LEED AP.
Hillary is now able to meet every side of the transaction’s demand for real estate professionals to have a real understanding of the issues, concerns, and the different features that are driving people to care about having more environmentally responsible and sustainable building and renovation practices and also about being able to save money.
